Somehow I knew that “Hey Mom! Look at me.” could not possibly mean, “Hey Mom, I fed the dog”, “Hey Mom, I’m sitting in the corner, quietly reading a book”, or even “Hey Mom, I learned to take out the trash at the age of 2″. So, I was surprised at what I found, but not as much as I would have been before getting to know the antics of my dear son.

That is my son after climbing into the water table, fulling dressed, just as we were about to go out to grab some pizza.

Apparently, he just needed to get a little closer. Look at the concentration here. He means business!
And he didn’t stop there. Soon, he moved to the sandbox. I thought about stopping him and making him come in and change before things got too crazy. But then I reminded myself that these days won’t last forever. So get wet, play in the sand, and don’t worry about the bath you know you have to take later on!!!
